The Research Groups
 Disability On Campus: Whitewater is
nationally known for today`s progressive actions taken
toward making campus accessible. This group focused
on disability in athletics, student life, and the assistive D isability on Campus
technology on campus and organizations like the
Research and Construction completed by:

 Gender and Sexuality: These students


approached two topics related to Whitewater`s
Welcome

students. Related to Gender they described women`s


sports, Whitewater`s Klumb girl, and women`s hours,
which show both the celebration and discrimination G e nde r and Se xuality
women have historically faced on campus. The Research and Construction completed by:
purpose of these students` display is to show how
UW- Whitewater challenges the heterosexual Hannah Christman
normative by supporting its students' desires. Emily Lanigan

 History of Race: This group was intrigued about


who the students on campus were and the national History of Rac e
incidents that occurred on campus. They focused on
four student groups and organizations on campus: Research and Construction completed by:
African American, Hispanic and Latino, Hmong, and
Foreign Exchange. The students hope to convey the Rosemary Froeliger
struggle minority groups faced in history, how the Jack Petry
University responded to racial conflicts, and how
impactful student voices are on campus in affecting
change.
