Zofia Mietus,
FROM FATHER RICH

I want to thank Bishop Gustavo, our Dean and members of the Priest’s Place-
ment Board for coming to our meeting on Wednesday, October 6th. It was kind of
historical meeting because as you may know Bishop Gustavo was appointed
Archbishop of San Antonio Archdiocese and will be leaving Chicago soon. It is a
blessing for San Antonio and a great loss for Chicago. Bishop Gustavo will be re-
membered as a good shepherd of the faithful and a true brother to all the priests.
I want to thank all of you for your participation in the meeting with the repre-
sentatives of the Archdiocese. I hope it was a good experience and feeling to be
heard. There was the time in the church history when the faithful were the ones
who had to listen, now the church is trying to listen to the needs of the faithful to
Bishop
serve them better. Now we will wait and pray.
Gustavo Garcia Siller
There is a perfect opportunity ahead of us to pray, renew our spirits and deepen
our faith, because the Parish Mission is coming up. The timing is perfect, because during our Parish
Mission we will celebrate the Feast of St. Albert the Great and the 61st Parish Anniversary. At that
time we will also celebrate the success of the Catholic Annual Appeal and I’m looking forward to that
moment when I’ll be able to thank you personally for your support and generosity to our parish. We
will begin our Parish Mission on the weekend of 13th and 14th of November. Fr. Tom McCarthy will
preach at all the Masses and he will invite everyone for the continuation of the Mission on Monday,
Tuesday and Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. in church. After each Mass that weekend we will have a little re-
ception in Rogers Hall. Please invite all your relatives and friends for this spiritual renewal.
Congratulations to Mary and Ken Shipman who received Christifideles Archdiocesan Award last
Sunday from Cardinal Francis George at Holy Name Cathe-
dral as a sign of the appreciation for their tireless service for
St. Albert the Great Parish. They take care of the Church, es-
pecially the Sanctuary, Altar and Sacristy and Mary bakes for
all our parish events including the Carnival. We thank them
for everything they do for St. Albert the Great Parish.
We remind you about the Anointing Mass and ask you to
bring those who would like to be anointed to our church for
the 3:15 p.m. Mass.
We invite all of you and especially the families of those
who have died last year for the Memorial Mass which will be
celebrated on Sunday, November 7th at 3:00 pm in our
Church. During the prayers of the faithful all the names of the
deceased will be read and the families will come forward to
receive a candle. After the Mass you are invited to Rogers
Hall for little reception sponsored by Lawn Funeral Home
where we will have opportunity to share our memories about
Mr. & Mrs. Ken and Marie Shipman the ones who have left us.
Thank you for supporting World Mission through your
prayers and offerings donated today for the second collection, which will be sent to the Archdiocese to
support the mission.

God Bless! Fr. Rich

OD KS. RYSZARDA
Pragnę podziękować Księdzu Biskupowi Gustavo, naszemu Dziekanowi i pozstałym
Księżom za udział w spotkaniu w środę 6-go października.
Arcybiskupem Archdiecezji San Antonio i odchodzi z Chicago.
Biskup

roku w niedzielę 14-go listopada.
13-go do 17-go listopada.
o czystość naszego kościoła a szczególnie Presbiterium, Ołtarza i Zakrystii. To ona

niedzielę, 7-go listopada o godzinie 3:00 po południu. W czasie modlitwy wiernych
czytane będą imiona zmarłych i wtedy rodzina podejdzie do ołtarza aby otrzymać zapaloną świecę na znak
pamięci.
Ks. Ryszard
w osiągnięciu nieba i wyrazem naszej pamięci i miłości. Prosimy o wypisanie imion
Świętych przypada w tym roku w poniedziałek 1-go listopada. Msze Święte w języku
polskim poprzedzone wypominkami będą odprawione o godzinie 12:00 w południe
i o 7:00 wieczorem. Dzień Zaduszny przypada we wtorek, 2 listopada. Msze Święte w
