1.1.2 Machine Use Notices
 Turn on the machine and use machine every day, which is suggested. If you don’t have printing job someday,
please just make a nozzle check pattern and print some pictures.
 If the machine will not be used for over 7 days, the print heads are suggested to disassemble and make a cleaning,
and then keep well
.
 Before printing, please adjust the print gap between print head and print object to be 2-3mm, and then start printing.
Be cautious, if the print head is lower than print object surface, the print head will get scratched or clashed.
 Reflective materials, like stainless steel, mirror, etc are not allowed to print, Because their reflective surface will
reflect UV light onto print head nozzles and get nozzles clogged by UV ink.

 This printer need to be made earth wire.

1.2 Machine main parts and assemblies instruction
1.2.1 Carriage assembly

Carriage assembly is the key part of print unit and the carrier of print heads. When carriage assembly is back to home
position, the carriage assembly is just above of capping pump station with cap top sealed with print head nozzles surface.
The movement accuracy of carriage assembly is controlled by encoder strip and raster encoder.

1.2.2 Print head

1.2.2.1 NUOCAI UV printer NC-UV0406 is assembled with Epson DX5 print head. In order to ensure the ink injection
be smooth and printing be fluent continually, the print head nozzles need to be kept moist always and not clogged.
Besides, don’t let the print head port gets in any water or other liquid, otherwise the print head will get burned down.
 When placing the print head, always keep the nozzle side downward.
 When make the print head cleaning manually with syringe, please don’t make with too much strength in case to
cause damage to print head.
 Don’t scratch the nozzle surface with hard thing.
 When cleaning the nozzle surface, cotton bud or soft clean cloth is suggested to use.
 Keep the print head cable port dry always.
 Don’t drop the print head from high.
 Don’t disassemble the print head without any instructions.

 There are 8 inlets of print head, which are the entrances of ink, with some tiny holes on the top. Please keep the
tiny holes unblocked.
 The print head inlets are vulnerable, please don’t push hard or knock them from horizontally.

 During printing, the normal distance between print head and print object is 2-3mm. Please don’t
make it too closer in case of head scratched with print object. But if the distance is kept too big, the
print quality will be affected.

1.2.2.2 The easiest way to check the print head condition is to make a nozzle check on machine. Color ink can be
printed on white blank paper, but white ink needs black paper to print on, then you can check the nozzle check patterns.

1.2.4 Encoder strip

When machine is under printing, the carriage assembly moves leftwards and rightwards along a transparent strip, which
is called encoder strip. The encoder strip controls the movement of carriage assembly where to move to and where to
stop. There is small calibration on the encoder strip, which will be read by the raster encoder (behind the carriage
assembly). If the encoder strip is stained or scratched, it will affect the reading by raster encoder, so that the carriage
movement accuracy will be also affected.

1.2.5 Capping pump station

Capping pump station is the cleaning unit to make ink supply system runs normally and keep print head nozzles moist
all the time. Before every print job, the capping pump station will make a small ink suction automatically. When to
make head cleaning, besides ink automatic suction, the wiper blade will move accordingly to scrape the print head to
ensure no remains to block the nozzles. If wiper blade gets too much stained, please use some cleaner liquid to clean it.

Normally the seal rubber of cap top will properly seals with print head nozzles surface, after the carriage assembly is
back to home position and locked. The seal between cap top and print head is to ensure the smooth ink suction of all
nozzles and is also important for printing.

1.2.6 X-axis and Y-axis Servo Control System

Servo motors can locate precise positioning by sending and receiving electric impulse and intelligent stepping
calculation, so that carriage assembly and print bridge can move synergic ally and synchronously together, which
facilitates to get higher print quality.

1.2.8 Led UV lamp and Condenser
Before printing，need to be turned on the Condenser first and set temperature about 40℃ ~ 50℃, if then the
printer could works normally；Notice: the water level could not below 1/2，it will has a strongly effect with Condenser
and UV lamp’s life span if water level below 1/2；The Condenser must be used pure water, and change water after two
weeks, another water and liquid etc. were be forbidden.

Water temperature stay at about 22℃ is normal, if it arrive at 50℃, it will has warning bell, then you need to stop
it, and check there has enough water or not, some times if the water tube blocking, it will has warning bell also.

PART TWO: MACHINE INSTALLATION AND OPERATION

2.1 Print head cables installation
1，Head ports kept dry.
2，Don’t mix the insertion sequence of the 2 head cables.
3，Head cables should be in good condition. If there is liquid inside the head ports, but still insert head cables in, much
possibly that the print head would get burned down when start making printing.

 Firstly, insert head cable “Up” into head port “Up”;

2.2 Driver Installation

2.2.1Firstly set the IP from computer TCP/IP， enter IP：192.168.1.188

2.2.2 Use network wire to contact with printer：
1、Double click , then click “Set IP”, Printer IP：192.168.1.25 Local IP：192.168.1.188

2.3 Photoprint Installation

2.3.1Photoprintinstallation steps
Part one Put Sai software CD in computer

2.4. Ink installation and print preparation

2.4.1 Ink color sequence
Before ink installation, customer needs to make clear the correct ink color sequence, in order to match the ink tubes with
print head inlets properly. Refer to the Epson DX5 print head installation position, the color sequence of ink from left to
right is K C Y M W W W W.

2.4.2 Ink refill of ink cartridges
Look from backside of machine, the color sequence of ink cartridges from left to right is W W W W M Y C K. Fill in
ink to each cartridge in correspondence with color sequence. Fill ink up to 2/3 volume of cartridge is suggested.

2.4.4 Make ink suction from damper with syringe

Before insert dampers to print head inlets, we need to suck some ink from ink cartridges to fill up the dampers. We
suggest use a small-volume syringe to suck ink into dampers one by one.

2.4.5 Insert dampers into print head inlets in correspondence of color

Before insert dampers into print head inlets, please take a look at the damper connector area to see what is the ink color.
Then insert the dampers vertically one by one in correspondence with color.

2.4.8 How to adjust the automatic cleaning time

PART THREE MAINTENANCE

3.1 Cap top daily maintenance
 Inject some professional cleaner liquid into to cap top to keep print head nozzles moist after daily print jobs
After you finish the print work, and before turn off the machine, please perform this process.
Move aside the carriage by control panel. Then use a syringe to suck some professional cleaner liquid and inject them
into the cap top. Please perform properly and don’t let the injected liquid overflows from cap top.

 Notice: Before printing on the next day, please make an automatic head cleaning first, and then start to print
3.2 How to keep print head after disassembly
If the print head is disassembled, as below are the ways to keep the print head.
3.2-1 After disassembly and cleaning the print head, put it on some plastic wrapper, and cover the print head inlets and
nozzles with clean fabric, which could be dipped with some cleaner liquid. (Notice: Don’t get the fabric dipped with too
much cleaner liquid, in case that overabundant liquid flows into the cable ports of print head)

3.3.2 After the print head inlets and nozzles are covered with clean fabric, wrap the print head in plastic wrapper. Then
place the print head to somewhere dry and out of sunshine (Notice: The whole surface of print head nozzles needs
coverage with fabric)

3.3 Shake white ink cartridges at intervals to prevent white ink particles from sedimentation
As the fluidity of UV white ink is not as good as UV color ink, if placed still too long, the UV white ink particles will
sink down to bottom, which will affect the continuous injection output and print whiteness of white ink. So we suggest
every 3-7 days, take out of white ink cartridges and make a shaking for about 2 minutes.
 Take out white ink cartridges carefully
 Press the air hole of cartridge with finger, then shake cartridge horizontally

When shaking, press this air

Shake the white ink cartridges
