Welcoming Speech

Good morning to all dignitaries, guests, and delegates.

It gives me immense pleasure to extend to a warm welcome to all of you present
here, on behalf of the A S Patil College of Commerce MBA program who has clubbed
all of us for the UGC sponsored Capacity Building Workshop on “Writing Papers for
Journals of Repute”.

Famous scholar Daniel J. Bernstein said “I'm an academic. It's publish or perish”

Human knowledge belongs to all humanity, it must be shared and made available
publicly. It is through research that the totality of the human body of knowledge
increases. Knowledge is the only commodity in the world that actually increases in
value and extent only when shared. The researcher’s duty is to increase
Knowledge.

Researchers’ professional value can only be evaluated in terms of their output. So

we must write and publish to survive in an academic career.
In this junction, we need DIKSOOCHI who can guide us on writing research papers
in reputed journals.

For this reason, we have kept our Workshop name as “DIKSOOCHI”. Guiding lamp

member Dr. S.J. Goudar, Principal, BLDE Polytechnic.
