• With a history reaching back more than 100 years, the Mercedes-Benz
plant in Sindelfingen is the most time-honored vehicle plant at
Daimler AG. It is the competence center for the production of up-
per-range and luxury class vehicles (including electric ones in
the future) within the global production network.
• In addition, the facility produces the Sedan and Wagon models of
the successful E-Class as well as the car’s All-Terrain off-road
variant.

• Since June 2014, the plant has also produced the C-Class for the
North American market. The most-produced model in the Mer-
cedes-Benz product range is also manufactured under the leader-
ship of the Bremen plant in East London, South Africa, and the BBAC
joint venture plant in Beijing, China.

existing vehicle plant. The facility in Tuscaloosa is thus part of the
global battery production network of Mercedes-Benz Cars, which
has locations on three continents.

tion facility outside Germany and was the nucleus of the Alabaman
automotive industry.
