LIFE SPAN CONSIDERATIONS 2
The evaluation and provision of standard care for patients is an essential obligation to
anyone in the nursing profession. Therefore, the understanding of the necessary precautions to
meet this obligation as a nurse is considered in regards to the appropriate tasks and health
conditions of individuals. Depending on various health risks, life span considerations should be
made and necessary precautions instigated about the provision of immunization services and
wellness of the patients. Consequently, healthcare providers such as nurses have the knowhow
regarding the growth and development of individuals across the lifespan. Therefore some of the
lifespan considerations about the immunization and wellness of infants against some include the
consideration of risk-to-benefit ration as well as the fact drugs administered to the lactating
mother expose the breastfeeding infants to health risks because infants undergo rapid cognitive,
emotional and physical changes(Sipples et al., 2017). Similarly for school-age children, it is
important to consider the explanation of the immunization procedure which would enable body
and situation control, provision of comfort measures and also providing activities for releasing
aggression and anger. School-age children can also be educated by playing games and being
offered rewards as well as a more established concept of time in communication in the event of
care for their wellness because childhood is a very vital stage in childhood development. (Sipples
et al., 2017).
For the wellness of younger adults, it is important to consider the likelihood of health
risks like obesity or any other chronic diseases and the assessment of sexually transmitted
infections because some of the young adults in the early times of the adulthood may still be
undertaking adolescent concerns. For older adults also just like the case of the younger adults, it
is important to consider the health risks that come with the aging process like heart diseases or
even chronic lung diseases as a result of smoking habit. (Sipples et al., 2017). This is essential

because older adults undergo a chronology of life situations and they spend most the time in old
age suffering the effects of poor lifestyles in the early adulthood which include effects like the
loss of physical abilities, memory loss or even loss of loved ones like spouses.
