Remarks Before acknowledging alarms, you need to view the current alarms of the NE and note
down the cleared and uncleared alarms. In this way, you can check whether the cleared
alarms are successfully moved to the historical alarm library after they are
acknowledged.

2. Records are saved to a file in the specified path according to filter criteria.
Remarks 1. In the Select NE Object dialog box, you can choose the required NE objects from
the navigation tree. Alternatively, click Find Object, In the Find Object dialog
box, set Content or Search Model.
2. When multiple clients are logged in, after a user clicks Count, data in the server
database can be refreshed to the clients in real time.
3. Data of the selected records is saved as XLSX, XLS, TXT, HTML, or CSV files in
the client\client\report folder by default. You can change the path for saving the
files if necessary.

group of a user and click Delete. In the Confirm dialog box, click Yes.
.6 Set ACL of a user: Select a user from the navigation tree. On the ACL tab in the
right pane, select Set System ACL and click Add. In the window that is displayed,
set related parameters and then click OK. Alternatively, select Use specified ACLs
and set the IP addresses that can be used to access the current server.
.7 Set the domain of a user: Select a user from the navigation tree. On the Domain tab
in the right pane, click Select. In the Select Domain dialog box, select the NE, NE
sets, and subnets to be added to the domain and click OK. Alternatively, select All
Objects, Object Set, Subnet Device Set, Device or Subnet from Available
Objects to Selected Objects and click OK. Alternatively, select All Objects,
Objects set, Subnet Device Set, Device or Subnet to be deleted from Selected
Objects to Available Objects and click OK.
.8 Delete a user: Select a user from the navigation tree, right-click, and then choose
Delete from the shortcut menu. In the Confirm dialog box, click Yes.
Expected Results .1 The NMS User Management window is successfully displayed.
.2 The information about all managed user is successfully queried.
.3 The user is successfully created. The user is added to the U2000.
.4 The general attributes of the user are successfully set.
.5 The user group of the user is successfully set.

Remarks .1 The name of the user to be created must be unique. Only the user that has rights to

.2 The default user admin cannot be deleted. Only user admin can delete the user that
has security operation rights.
.3 When the rights of an online user are set, the U2000 broadcasts the message to the
online user.
.4 Only user admin can assign the security operation rights to other users.
.5 The password for the new user must meet the requirements on the password policy.
The user can set the password policy as follows: Choose Administration > NMS

Test Procedure .1 Choose Administration > Log Management > Query Operation Logs,

.3 In the Query Operation Logs, Query System Logs or Query Security Logs
window, select one log, right-click and then choose Details from the shortcut menu
to view details about the logs.

conditions.

Remarks The NMS logs consist of operation logs, security logs, and system logs. For details on
the operations, see "Test Procedure" and "Expected Results."

Test Procedure .1 Start the System Monitor client. Then, click the Process Monitor tab after a
successful login.
.2 Choose Administration > Settings from the main menu. In the System Monitor
Settings dialog box, view the system monitoring parameters.
.3 Click the Server Monitor tab. Then, set the thresholds of the number of continuous
CPU overloads, refreshing interval of server monitoring, and server monitoring
thresholds.
.4 Click the Hard Disk Monitor tab. Then, set the refreshing interval of hard disk
monitoring and hard disk monitoring thresholds.
.5 Click the Database Monitor tab. Then, set the refreshing interval of database
monitoring and database space usage thresholds.
.6 Query the information about the server, process, database, and hard disk and check
whether it is the same as the preset values.
Expected Results .1 The information about the system monitoring parameters is correctly displayed.
.2 The information about the server, process, database, and hard disk is refreshed
according to the preset refreshing intervals.
.3 When the resource usage exceeds the threshold, the corresponding resource records
on the database information, system resource information, and hard disk
information tabs are displayed in red.
.4 When the occupancy of the CPU, memory, hard disk, or database exceeds the
preset threshold, the corresponding alarm is reported to the U2000.

T-9.2 NE Configuration
T09-0201 Saving NEs
Objective To test the function of saving NEs.
.2 On the NE View tab page, select one or more NEs, right-click, and then choose
Backup from the shortcut menu.
.3 In the Backup dialog box, click Start to back up the NEs.
Expected Results The NE database is backed up successfully. The information about the backup file is
displayed on the Backup Information tab in the lower pane

operation rights.
Test Procedure 1. Choose Administration > NE Software Management > NE Backup Policy
Management from the main menu.On the NE Backup Policy Management tab
page, right-click Default Policy in the navigation tree and choose Modify Policy
from the shortcut menu.
2. In the Modify Policy dialog box, set parameters in the Period Backup Policy and
Period Save Policy areas, and then click OK.
Expected Results The default policy is successfully modified.
Remarks The new default policy applies to only NEs set in the default policies. The backup
policy for new NEs is automatically set to the default policy.
The Period Save Policy in the policy settings is not supported in the transport domain
and the default configuration can be retained
