Detailed Lesson Plan in Science and Technology II

I. Objectives

At the end of a 60-minute period, the second year high school students are expected to do the following with 75%
proficiency:

1. Describe the value of organisms;

2. Determine the threats to biodiversity, and;

3. Appreciate the value of biodiversity.

II. Subject Matter

Topic: Lesson 8: Importance of Biodiversity

Classmates, our group identified the following importance of the
organisms that were shown on the screen. Bacteria serves as
fertilizer, fungi decomposes logs, animals provide food, plants
protect us from storms and protists like seaweeds provide food to
us.

plant trees, fungi provide food and protists provide habitat to
various organisms.

food and no source of oxygen. Flood and water shortage will also

the plants. So, the plants will not bear fruits and cannot
