KDC Jumper Configuration

Display Jumper
Beginning in October 2001, a new manufacturer’s display was phased in to the AccuLoad III. This new display
separates a little differently than the old display, and requires a different configuration to achieve the light/dark contrast
necessary for easy viewing. Jumpers J5 and J6 on the KDC board configures the contrast for each of the displays.
Be sure to position the jumpers in the manner appropriate for each display, as indicated below.

For units shipped prior to October 2001: J6 must be in the “in” position. These displays have a silver bezel, and
are Optrex Model DMF5003N.

For units shipped in October 2001 and at all times thereafter: J6 must be in the “out” position. These displays
have a black bezel, and are Model MTG-2406.

For units shipped in August 2005 and at all times thereafter: all AccuLoad’s that have revision “B” display modules
Smith P/N 236068-101 and 236068-1-02 must use firmware ALIII X version 10.13 or greater. In addition KDC jumper
J5 must be in the “IN” position, and J6 must be in the “OUT” position. The displays are identified in the silkscreen
on the back of the board as follows:

If the AccuLoad III has any other version of software other than ALS version 4 or less then ALX Rev 10.13 U5 and
U6 proms can be used, if ALS version 4 or less is installed then the entire firmware set will need to be replaced with
ALS version 9.02 firmware.

Note: Ship dates may be irrelevant if the board has been changed or serviced.
