The A8GCS is designed for front engine, transaxle gearbox and driveline.
The long bonnet with the greenhouse positioned rearwards requires a very short front overhang,
while the slim curved centre section commands a narrow frame at the side member level.
Donor Car
The Wiesmann MF4 (or MF4-S or MF5) has been chosen as the donor rolling chassis.
Not only the main measurement coincide with those of the A8GCS, but this chassis perfectly fits
with the Berlinetta philosophy: a compact, weight-efficient, reactive and frugal sports car.
Chassis type
The frame is a monocoque in aluminium, bonded and riveted.
This solution offers lightness combined with extreme torsional stiffness.
The suspensions feature a double wishbone in aluminium, completed with trailing arm, coil springs
and anti-roll bar. This scheme delivers supreme precision, responsiveness and pleasure in all conditions.
Performance
The outstanding power/weight ratio promises tremendous acceleration, easy handling ,
reactivity and sheer driving pleasure.
Downforce in high speed cornering is ensured by a foldable rear spoiler combined with air extractor.
Top speed shall approach 300 Km/h.
Specifications (MF4 based)
