traveling to the Philippines for business and
tourism purposes are allowed to enter the
Philippines without visas for a stay not
exceeding thirty (30) days, provided they
hold valid tickets for their return journey to
port of origin or next port of destination and
their passports valid for a period of at least
six (6) months beyond the contemplated
period of stay.

The following are allowed to enter the


Philippines without a visa for a stay not
exceeding fourteen (14) days:

1. Holders of Hong Kong Special Administrative


(SAR) passports.

Mactan-Cebu is an international airport, and
has direct flights from several Asian cities.

The following international airlines service


Mactan-Cebu: Singapore Airlines, AirAsia,
Cebu Pacific Air, SilkAir., Korean Air, Emirates.

The other option is to transit via Manilla, and


take a domestic flight to Cebu.

CURRENCY & ATM

The local currency is the Philippine Pesos (PHP), normally used in
denominations of 10 (uncommon), 20, 50, 100, 200 (uncommon), 500
and 1000 pesos. Banks and Currency Exchanges accept most
currencies to change into pesos.

Hotels and most established shops and restaurants will accept Visa
and Master Cards.

Shangri-La’s Mactan Resort and Spa also has an ATM.

The Philippines operates on a 220V supply voltage and 60Hz, and there are
three associated plug types, A, B and C. Plug type A has two flat parallel
pins, plug type B has two flat parallel pins and a grounding pin and type C
has two round pins. A travel adapter is recommended, due to the variety of
plugs used.
