IMPORTANT
1. Before the actual validation, meet and orient the School Head and all other school personnel who
will be affected or subjected to thus validation tool. They must read and must have understood the
Monitoring and Evaluating Protocol.
2. All the areas to be validated must be communicated to each of the affected or concerned school
personnel as to purpose, scope, manner, and confidentially issues that may arise during the actual
validation.
3. Let the School Head and all of the concerned personnel sign the Monitoring and Evaluation
Protocol after the meeting and orientation before conducting the actual validation. Without such,
the validation will be NULL and VOID.

School Governing Council (SGC) are involve
in the care and maintenance of Gulayan sa
Paaralan.
4. The community supports caring and
maintaining of the Gulayan sa Paaralan.
5. The School was able to tap external
stakeholders to help in the effective
management of GPP e. g. provisions for
waste mgt. mat water supply, garden infra
tools etc.

partnership with external stakeholders and

B. PLANT GROWN (25 %)
1. Diversity of crops produced un the Gulayan
sa Paaralan is highly evident where there
are root crops, legumes, and fruits, and
vegetable.
2. Crops planted in the Gulayan sa Paaralan
are those that are with high nutritive value
as promoted by the Food and Nutrition
Research Institute, Department of
Agriculture, Department of Health, and the
Food of Drugs.
3. Herbs and spices are integrated in the
Gulayan sa Paaralan both for aesthetic,
nutritive and crop protective values.

C. CROPS AND HARVEST UTILIZATION

sa Paaralan.
3. Protein and meat sources are taken from
the Gulayan sa Paaralan at least once a
week.

design without sacrificing crops’ climatic
and soil adaptation as well as pest
management and control.
3. Cheap but effective technology
innovation were employed in the
Gulayan sa Paaralan e.g. Aqua phonics,
hydro phonics, bio-aero, vertical, bio-
intensive gardening, etc.

sustain the maintenance and operation

Sectors, Community Organizations,
Barangay, etc.

for the school year as evidenced by the

and Fin Plan/Action Plan and Liquidation
report and supplementary feeding
program based on canteen report.
