accomplish a specific job in the kitchen.
The tools, utensils and equipment are
made of different materials, each having
certain advantages and disadvantages.
The following are materials of kitchen
utensils and equipment commonly found
in the kitchen.

1. Aluminum
2. Stainless steel
3. Glass
4. Cast iron
5. Teflon
6. Ceramic and heatproof glass
7. Plastic and hard rubber

Does the material have the same

quality? -no

If no, how does the material vary? -it varies according to its quality or
characteristics.

For aluminium, it is the best for all

around use, it is the most popular,
lightweight, attractive and less
expensive.
- Take care of the aluminium
To make the aluminium shiny and clean utensils
, what is the best thing to do?

What is the disadvantage of aluminium

materials? - The aluminium will get rust
easily
Correct! It will get rust easily. It is a soft
metal; the lighter gauges will dent and
scratch easily making the utensil
unusable.

How about stainless steel, what do you

think is the quality of this material?
- Quite expensive, easier to
clean and shine and will not
Chose those with copper, aluminium , or wear out as soon as
