Love is the fundamental aspect of our daily life. Our activities are colored with love and love is the
blood of our relation with God‟s creatures. It is not easy to define what love is all about because love
concern many aspects; surely we can never describe what we exactly mean by love. In our daily lives we can
divide love into several categories.
We can differentiate between the love we have for our parents, our brothers and sisters, our best
friends, our lover and – of course – our love to the Creator. When a man and a woman make up their minds
to go through this life together, we know that they are in love. When a brother brings home a sweet doll for
his younger sister, we call that love. Even, when a mother is getting angry at her child, she does it because
she loves him. Love is one of the mysteries in our lives. In Love, we not only find passion, truth and belief,
but also hate and hurt as well.
Although love is indescribable, it is something that we can touch with our feeling and hearts.
Sometimes we say that we love someone but actually what we feel is only admiration. It is said that when we
want to get close to someone all the time and we are willing to do everything for that person without
anything in return, we love that person.
However, I personally believe that love is more than that. Even if the above definition is close
enough to the love we have for our lover, it is greater than any definition in this world.

a. it has a greater meaning than any definition in this world
b. Love can make us want to get close to someone and do everything

e. It makes us giving an admiration to someone we love

Nowadays, the video game industry is developing rapidly. It becomes a multi-billion dollar industry.
Video games have become an important part not only in the children‟s life but also the adult‟s. Nevertheless,
there is an argument whether video games bring good or bad influences on children.
People who have a pro argument claim that video games give a lot of benefits. Playing video games
is a good way to kill children‟s boredom. It can refresh the children‟s mind after a tiring school day.
Moreover, they also argue that video games can trigger children to be more creative because the games
provide challenging ways to win. In other words, they believe that video games can actually sharpen a
human‟s brain.
Conversely, some people believe that video games make children lazy. They argue that playing video
games is addictive. As a consequence, most of the children prefer playing video games to studying. These
children find it hard to concentrate on their study because they want to play video games. In addition, most
of the video games often expose too much violence. Two years ago in USA, for example, a student shot his
teacher and some of his friends. Newspapers said that the boy was deeply influenced by the actions in the
video games he used to play with.
It is obvious that video games have more disadvantages than advantages. Therefore, parents should
be very careful in selecting the appropriate games for their children.

Television has certainly changed our lives. Today, most people prefer watching TV to going to the

become very lazy and irresponsible for their tasks. This is of course denied by TV producers or people
whose works is related to TV.
They are very sure that there are a lot of benefits of TV for viewers, especially children or students. On

parents sometimes don‟t have much time to watch TV together with their children. They suggest parents to
have more discussion with their children on any programs they have seen.
