Course content Course content in accordance with the IMO model course 1.23, 1.19
STCW 2010 A-VI/1-1 and A-VI/2-1 related to launching of MES - VEC
(Viking Evacuation Chute) and boarding of survival craft by MES and
SOLAS Ch. III Reg. 19 § 3.3.8.

This course is designed for all crew members of ships equipped with MES
and for those crew members assigned as MES crew members.

General: Course content in accordance with the IMO model course 1.23,
1.19 STCW 2010 A-VI/1-1 and A-VI/2-1 related to launching of MES and
boarding of survival craft by MES and SOLAS Ch. III Reg. 19 § 3.3.8. This
course is designed for all crew members of ships equipped with MES and
for those crew members assigned as MES crew members.

Approval: Course is approved by Estonian Maritime Administration.

Accommodation: if you require so, we shall arrange hotel for you. The
hotel is high quality 3 star SPA hotel. Hotel fee is 45 EUR per night single
room, breakfast included. Transfer to training centre and back to hotel is
complimentary.

information
Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of the course in order to pass through the
course registration in a timely manner. Please bring an identity document with a
photograph.

Participation in the courses of study under the influence of alcohol or psychotropic


substances is prohibited, and in this case, the course fee will not be returned to the
trainees.

Specific clothing needed for the course, if any, shall be provided by the trainer.The
course includes practical tasks in water, please bring a bathing suit, a change clothing
(eg tracksuit), towel and exchange cotton socks.

There are physical and mental aspects in the training. In order pass the training it is
essential that you confirm before starting the practical tasks:

You have not consumed alcohol within the last day or used psychotropic
substances.
You are healthy, willing and able to participate in practical exercises according
to the curriculum.
You have been informed about the nature and associated risks of practical
exercises.
You understand the practical exercises and related risks and you have the right
to refuse participation in practical exercises.
You realize that if you refuse from participation in practical exercises, you do
not pass the training course successfully.
You understand that if you do not feel well during the training or after it, it must
clearly express it and inform the instructors.
