RE, SUMMER CAMP CLOVERLEAF, JUNE 10-14, 2019
We hope all of you are planning your summer vacations and are considering attending 4-H
summer camp. 4-H Camp will be filled with fun outdoor and indoor activities. Hendry County
4-H will be camping with Glades, Indian River, and Okeechobee counties as well as the
Seminole Tribe; therefore, limited space is available. Enclosed, please find the tentative
schedule of activities for the Summer Camp Program as well as registration information.
Registration is open to 4-H’ers/non 4-H’ers ages 8-13 as of September 1, 2018 (if you turned
14 after September 1, 2018, you are still considered 13 for this 4-H year). Cost of camp is $240,
includes meals, canteen and T-shirt. Enrollment is open until May 24, 2019 ona first come first
served basis; however, late registrations will be accepted if space permits. A non-refundable
deposit of $50 along with completed registration form, medication form, participation form and
authorization form are due to the 4-H office. All money is due on or before May 24, 2019.
Ifyou are interested in being a counselor (14 and up as of September 1, 2018) please complete
the “Counselor Application” and all the corresponding forms on or before May 11, 2019. The
cost for counselors is $75. Counselor checks will not be cashed until camp. Only a limited
number of counselors are needed. The appli ions will be dated as they are turned in. There
will be two opportunities for counselor training. The first one is March 8-10, 2019, at Camp
Cloverleaf and the second one will be held on June 1, 2019, from 10 am — 4 pm. Please contact
the 4-H office for more information on the first counselor training,

may bring to camp.
Sheets (Single Bed) Shirts - tank tops must be two fingers
Blanket and/or Sleeping Bag wide (at least 2 per day)
Pillow Shorts must be finger length
‘Towels and washcloths (atleast 2 per day)
Beach Towels Jeans (at least 2 pairs)
Personal Care Items Swimsuit (one piece for girls)
Soap/Shampoo Closed toed shoes (Flip Flops for the waterfront
Toothbrush/Toothpaste only)
Deodorant Cap or hat
Brush/Comb Sun screen
Small Bag/Tote to carry to shower Sunglasses
Underclothes Insect repellant
Socks Flash Light
Sleep Wear Shaving cream non menthol (Thursday- county
time)

Important: Ifa camper requires special medicine, it must be turned in to one of the 4-H
staff members at the drop off location. No camper will be allowed to personally keep
medication of any type, this includes aspirin.
THINGS “NOT” TO BRING
Cell phone, money, jewelry, shaving cream with menthol, matches, fireworks, firearms, or
gum. These items will be confiscated and returned at end of the camp if found in the
campers possession.
We are not responsible for any lost, stolen, or left behind items.
