15. Brief Facts of the case:

I am a Doctor by profession, working with the Indo Gulf Hospital. On 16th July, 2018, around 4:00pm, I
was standing outside my hospital as I was waiting for my friend, Ms. Tanya Tayal. In the meantime there
was a group of boys passing by and one of them started abusing and mocking at me. The next day on 17th
July, 2018, around 4:00pm the same incident took place and this time the boy followed me till my house.
My parents were not home that time. As I confronted him and asked him why he had been following me
and abusing me, on this he slapped me several times on my face and in order to insult my modesty he put
his hands on my chest and started forcing me, thereafter pushing me down, he ran away. On inquiry from
the neighborhood his name was revealed Suri and he lives somewhere near my house in the other society
called Nokia. I called the Police Station at around 5:30pm to inform and now as you have arrived this is
my complaint against Mr. Suri for outraging my modesty. I want legal action to be taken against them.

That a complaint has been made in the Mayapuri Police Station on 17.07.2018 at 5:30 PM regarding the commission
of an offence of Outraging a woman’s modesty , an offence punishable U/s 354 IPC involving accused Mr. Suri as
stated by the informant Ms. Vidhi Sharma and witness Ms. Tanya Tayal. Thus this case has elements of a crime U/s
354 IPC. The name of the informant is Ms. Vidhi Sharma d/o Mr. Vishal Sharma, resides in House No. B –
112, lane no. 4, Sector – 40, Mayapuri the statements were recorded U/s 161 Cr.P.C.
1. The rukka was prepared and subsequently FIR No. 525 of 2018 was prepared at 5:30 PM.
2. On the basis of the above complaint, some spot investigation was done by Sub inspector Pawan Kumar and CCTV
footage showing the incidents as mentioned in the statements in regard of the offence was seized.
3. It is therefore said that there arises reasonable suspicion for the commission of the cognizable offence stated under
the complaint which I, SI, Pawan Kumar, is empowered U/s 156 of Cr.P.C to investigate and therefore this report
is sent U/s 157 Cr.P.C to inform about the commission of the offence and the investigation done so that the
Hon’ble Magistrate may give appropriate directions U/s 159 of Cr.P.C after receiving this report.

from her work and was waiting for me to get free. She was waiting for me outside the
hospital. As I was walking towards her I witnessed group of boys passing by and one of
them started abusing and mocking at Ms. Vidhi Sharma. The next day on 17th July, 2018,
around 4:00pm the same incident took place and I again witnessed the bunch of boys
standing and one of those abusing at mocking at Ms.Vidhi. In the meantime I got an
emergency call from by my father so I had to rush to towards my home early so couldn’t
drop her home.

yelling at Mr. Suri and next moment Mr. Suri slapped Ms. Vidhi and started rebuking loudly. He
was furious and was yelling at top of his voice. After few minutes Mr. Suri grabbed Ms. Vidhi’s
breast and Ms. Vidhi was struggling. I left my cart and started running towards them to help Ms.
Vidhi but by the time I reach there, the perp pushed Ms. Vidhi back and ran. Then I helped Ms.
Vidhi and she said thank you to me. I am very sorry that I wasn’t able to help Ms. Vidhi in time.
Please put that man behind bars.

recovered from his possession which are taken in police possession through this memo.
