Goals

The goal of this site is to encourage each visitor to contact me by phone or e-mail regarding their legal
matter. To that end, each page should prominently feature my phone numbers and should have a
contact form for consultations. The site must be easy to navigate and easy for search engines to index,
as SEO will be the primary source of page views.

Project Requirements

The site’s back-end is written in Python and uses the Flask web framework with jinja2 templating.
However, this job requires only that you design and develop the front-end. The back-end is mentioned
just so that you’re aware in the event that it makes a difference in your front-end design/development
decsion-making.
The production version of the site is located at https://www.morenski.com, but it is incomplete. Al-
though I like the site’s logo and color scheme, I am completely open to change it. Additionally, I have

1
licenses for all of the images shown on the first page of the site and will be able to send high-resolution
versions, should they be needed. I am also willing to purchase licenses for other images.

Finally, the site should be designed using industry best practices for maintainability. Admittedly, I
have not kept up-to-date with front-end development at all, but have no problem using tools like Gulp
or Grunt and relying on node for vendor packages. Accordingly, I would prefer for you to use a CSS
preprocessor like Sass or LESS and provide for asset optimization in production (but not development).
Feel free to use a javscript library/framework, as well. I have no preference between Angular/React/Vue,
so if you plan to use one of them, please let me know why you prefer one of the others.

Ultimately, my goal is to hook this site into a larger-scale law practice management framework I’ve been
developing during the last few years. That said, extremely clean and well-organized code is absolutely
critical.

I additionally have licenses for Porto, Porto Admin, SmartAdmin, and Unify. You are free to borrow
from those projects, should you wish.

Finally, one of the primary goals is to improve Google rankings for specific practice areas. Accordingly,
the design should reflect best practices for SEO. Additionally, attention should be paid to optimizing
the layout for mobile devices as well as desktop devices. The single goal is to convert page clicks into
phone calls or e-mails.

Blog

The blog area is where I will be posting short articles I’ve written that are relevant to my practice areas.
Design-wise, I am looking for the following:

1. A page organizing the blog posts by topic/date/etc. and presenting short snippets of each post in
a paginated format. The functionality for creating & publishing posts is not needed.
2. A page for the blog post itself.

This section should be extremely straightforward; I am only looking for a way to aesthetically incorpo-
rate a blog design with the rest of the site.

Locations Served

The “Locations Served” section should present the cities and counties that I serve in the State of
Florida. I am not sure how to present this information aesthetically. Please note that I do not need
pages created for each of these locations; those pages will be generated automatically by the back-end.

The following is a list of the counties and cities in which I accept clients:

• Osceola County
– Kissimmee
– St. Cloud
• Volusia County
– Daytona Beach
– DeBary
– DeLand
– Deltona

Frequently Asked Questions

Similar to the blog section, the FAQs will link back to the practice areas and display a list of frequently
asked questions. For each question, there will generally be a one- to two-paragraph answer provided.

Contact

The full contact page should prompt the user for the following information:

• Name
• E-mail Address
• Phone Number
• Address
– Street
– City
– State
– Zip
– Country
• Comments

When entering the address, I would prefer for you to use an address autocompletion service, like
Google’s Place Autocomplete or SmartyStreets’ US Autocomplete API.

Prior to submitting the form, the user must indicate that they have read and agree to the following
disclaimer: “This web site and inquiry form are for informational purposes only and should not be
construed to be formal legal advice nor the formation of an attorney/client relationship. Confidential
or time-sensitive information should not be sent through this form.”

Additionally, a shorter version of the Contact form should appear on every page and be highly visible.
The shortened version of the form should only contain fields for the visitor’s name, e-mail address,
phone number, and comments and must also require the user to affirmatively agree to the aforemen-
tioned disclaimer.

7
Along with the shortened version of the contact form, each page should contain my office’s primary
phone number (407-544-3640), toll-free number (833-MORENSKI), and fax number (407-544-3641).
Finally, each page should integrate a popup chat box at the bottom of the screen. The chat box should
only be a placeholder as I will integrate the actual chat service into the site.

Site Map

My scripts will generate the site map, but each page should contain a link to it.

Search

Each page should have search functionality incorporated. Currently, I have a search prompt at the top
of each page on https://www.morenski.com/ (in the navbar). Additionally, I will need a template for
displaying search results in an aesthetically-pleasing manner.

Examples

The following is a non-exclusive list of lawyer web sites that have the aesthetic I’m seeking:

https://www.richardhornsby.com/

WHAT I LIKE: Home page (short and to the point with an impossible-to-miss consultation form);
Practice area pages (e.g., https://www.richardhornsby.com/crimes/theft/)

https://www.coreycohen.com/

WHAT I LIKE: Home page (large phone number displayed next to the “free consultation” text, relevant
badges/icons for each practice area, a “why should you hire me?” section, a link to a recent article
approximately halfway down the page, contact form, and a link to provide reviews); Legal Services
page; Blog

https://www.jgcrimlaw.com/

WHAT I LIKE: Color scheme and icons, home page (especially the contact form), some of the practice
area pages (e.g., https://www.jgcrimlaw.com/dui.html, which features a video describing the practice
area)

https://www.thelawman.net/

WHAT I LIKE: Home page and banner (however, the “Everyone Deserves a Second Chance” message
would be better if a contact form were incorporated into the banner, rather than provided as a link);
chat box

8
https://www.adamsluka.com/

WHAT I LIKE: Home page (contact info prominently displayed, page neat & informative); Attorney
profile pages (e.g., https://www.adamsluka.com/richard-m-adams-esq.html)

https://www.mcshanelawfirm.com/

WHAT I LIKE: Home page (practice area badges/icons, specifically)

http://www.tildenlaw.com/

WHAT I LIKE: Home page (I really like that each of the practice areas are presented as a call to action
for the visitor right on the banner.); FAQs (http://www.tildenlaw.com/faq/ presents the FAQs neatly,
but they could be better served by an accordion-type list that expands when you click each title.)

https://www.goldentrafficticketlaw.com/

WHAT I LIKE: Home page (easily visible toll-free and local number along with the practice area and
contact link)

https://www.floridadivorceme.com/

WHAT I LIKE: Home page (contact form in the banner, good color scheme, pricing information)

https://www.dolmanlaw.com/legal-services/personal-injury-attorneys/pip/

WHAT I LIKE: Home page (phone number stands out, color scheme is good, and blog posts are featured);
Locations (Each location served provides a description of the attorney’s services and references the
specific city for SEO purposes, e.g., https://www.dolmanlaw.com/aventura-personal-injury-lawyer/)
