Sub: Readiness list for transfers and postings of Asst. Engineers (Civil & Elect) -
who have completed / will be completing station tenure as on 31/5/2019,
The undersigned is directed to circulate readiness lists of Assistant Engineers
(Civil) & Asst Engineers (Electrical) who have completed / will be completing their station
tenures as on 31/5/2019,
Tenure Tr fer
Normal Tenure for all stations except Hard areas - 3 Years
Tenure for posting in Hard Areas -- 2 Years
(The revised policy for transfer and posting AE (Civil & Electrical) has been
circulated vide O.M. No. 05/04/2017-S&D/536 dated 11122018 & OM. No.
DG/Misc./2018/1223623 dated 24.12.2018 of DG New Delhi),
Assistant Engineers (Civil & Electrical) whose names appear in the enclosed
readiness lists are advised to represent and intimate their 3 choices of stations in the
order of preferences through PIMS so as to reach this office on or before 31/01/2019
‘through proper channel for consideration by the transfer and posting committee. The AEs
are also informed that there is no commitment on the part of the department to post
them to the stations of their choice.
Assistant Engineers who seek retentions may also represent for the same but at
the same time they should, in their own interest, indicate their choice of stations for
Posting so that the same may be considered if their requests for retention is not
‘approved. In case they do not intimate any choice of stations for postings, they are liable
to be posted anywhere in the Region, if their requests for retention is not approved by the
Competent authority.

“The tenure period also includes the period the Asst. Engineers spent / served in
the same station as Junior Engineers.
Representations for premature transfers, retentions after completion of tenure on
medical grounds, educational grounds, employed spouse (as per para 4 of DoPT's O.M issued
under FNo, 28034/9/2009 - Estt (A) dt 30.09.2009) etc. Should be supported with
documentary evidences, without which the representations may not be considered.
If the name of any Assistant Engineers (Civil & Electrical) who will be
completing/completed the tenure at present station as on 315.2019 has been left out
inadvertently in the enclosed readiness lists the same may be intimated to this of fice and
he/she may be advised to intimate the options as mentioned above.
The representation already submitted by the Assistant Engineers to Spl DG
(SR)/DDG(HQ) CPWD Chennai either for rotational transfer (where tenure completed) or
for pre mature transfer or for retention in Planning / in same station, before issue of this
readiness list will not be considered and hence they should submit their fresh applications
in response to this O.M.
All. the Assistant Engineers whose names are appearing in any of the encl
readiness lists must send their choices along with ting details for the previ.
10 years in the same format of posting details given in PIMS through proper_ channel
so as to reach this office by 31.01.2019 for consideration of the transfer and
posting committee.
‘The controlling officers are requested to verify the same from Service Books,
Certify and update PIMS, if not updated. It is generally observed that some offices are
not updating the employees’ particulars in PIMS. While updating in PIMS, the actual
place of posting and sub division details also should compulsorily be updated in the
‘additional information column, instead of simply mentioning the division name. No
representation of Assistant Engineers, whose PIMS details are either not updated or
incorrect, will be entertained. While forwarding representations, the controlling
icer/s must sssary certificate that the PIMS details have been updated
by them and are correct.
All the Chief Engineers / Superintending Engineers are requested to give the
specific recommendations clearly stating the exigencies of work, if any, for retention of
officer instead of simply forwarding the representations. Requests for retentions on
exigencies of work will not be entertained after transfer orders are issued. All the
representations are to be necessarily routed through Chief Engineers. There is no
need to send the advance copies to this office.
