A regular pattern of sleep seems more important than how much you sleep – as long as you get enough

sleep for you. You can work out how many hours’ sleep you need and try to have a regular pattern for
getting them. Five consecutive night of disturbed sleep can lower your performance on IQ test up to 15
points. The deleterious effect of a change in your sleeping pattern can be gauged from its effect on your
ability to drive safely.
