What a great resource we have here in the South Side for kid participa-
tion in a community based sports program. The Market House Chil-
dren’s Athletic Association, located in the Market House on 12th Street,

live in the city for any number of reasons... but one of them should defi-
nitely be The Market House.
The Association is completely staffed by volunteers led by Coach John
Shamlin. His assistant coaches are involved parents and prior partici-
pants, including high school senior, Joe Frick (who has played here since
he was 4 years old and who will be attending CMU in the Fall). John says
the kids have a fantastic time and learn about being part of a team and
sportsmanship...“It’s great to see them all shake hands after every game.”
