resistance between pins B, C, D, E, F, G interconnected and pins H, K, J, A interconnected. The measured Must be greater than 400 resistance must be greater than MΩ at 45 VDC 400 MΩfor an applied voltage of 45 VDC.
(4) BONDING RESISTANCE :
Supply 1 A between pin A and
any point of the equipment: the Must not resistance must not be more than 20 mΩ. be more than 20 mΩ.
(5) ELECTRICAL TEST : (Ref. Fig 2 of CMM 21-53-11 )
(a) Make sure that connector pins
C and D are connected.
(b) Make sure that connector pins
G and F are connected.
Page 1 of 2 (6) TEST SETUP :
(a) The sensor must be installed
in the temperature-controlled bath or oven.
(b) Connect the resistor to an
ohmmeter with a test current of less than 0.1 mA less than 0.1 mA. (Connector pins B and C, and connector pins E and F).
(7) RESISTOR TEST AT 0 °C (32 °F) :
Connect the PTC-resistor to an
ohmmeter with a test current of less than 0.1 mA less than 0.1 mA.
Hold the PTC-resistor at a
temperature of 0 ± 3 °C (32 ± 5.4 °F) by use of the oven.
Measure Tref with a precision of ±
0.1 °C (± 0.18 °F).
Make sure that the resistance
value of the resistor is:
100 + (Tref x 0.39) ± 0.5 Ω (for 100 + (Tref x 0.39) ± 0.5
the two sensitive elements). Ω (for the two sensitive elements).
(8) RESISTOR TEST AT 100 °C (212 °F) :
Increase the PTC-resistor
temperature to 100 ± 3 °C (212 ± 5.4 °F) by use of the oven.
Measure Tref with a precision of
± 0.1 °C (± 0.18 °F).
Make sure that the resistance
value of the resistor is:
138.5 + ((Tref – 100) x 0.38) ± 0.5 138.5 + ((Tref – 100) x
