SUBJECT: POWERWIZARD 1.1 BUTTON FAILURES.

PROBLEM

Generating Sets with Powerwizard 1.1 control panels are experiencing button failures (Hard Button
Issue) in tropical environments. The failure results in operators being unable to navigate through the
controller overview and configuration menus or nonoperation of the Run, Stop and Auto buttons. This
failure mode is not to be confused with an issue relating to Reduced Power Mode (Soft Button Issue),
which can present itself in a similar manner. To confirm the issue refer to the following videos
attached to the Service Bulletin email.

Hard Button Issue. Buttons appear to stick and other buttons either momentarily work or are
unresponsive.

Soft Button Issue. Powerwizard having been placed in Auto Mode on a previous site visit or service,
the controller appears to be in the Stop position. When the Auto button is pressed the controller will
stay in Auto Mode.

If the failure is identified as a Soft Button Issue, refer to TIB 0155.

All Generating sets fitted with Powerwizard 1.1 controllers.

SOLUTION

Powerwizard controllers with an improved button overlay design are now available to order through
the Olympian Aftermarket distribution network

When submitting a warranty claim, the following data MUST be provided.

 Product Status Report

 Controller serial number
 Package serial number
 Attach a video showing failure and controller serial No. along with the detail of the problem
 Hours on the package.
