Department Chair
Department of Political Science
University of the Philippines Diliman
Quezon City, PH

Dear Sir:

Greetings!

I, Bea Czarina B. Navarro, am a bona-fide senior student at the University of the

Philippines Diliman. I am currently taking up a bachelor’s degree in Political Science,
which I just earned this year since I shifted from BS Business Administration.

Since I am only able to shift in the course this year, I am not able to take courses, which
are strictly offered to Political Science students, such as Polsc 110 which serves as a
prerequisite for Polsc 111 and Polsc 199. However, as I am very much determined to get
into the Political Science degree program, I already took the required core subjects,
cognates and some electives.

With this, I would just like to request to be issued a waiver of prerequisite, if possible, so
that I could take Polsc 110 and 111 at the same semester (2nd semester, AY 2015-2016)
because I plan to graduate as soon as possible in order to be of help to my family. If I’m
able to get 18 units for this semester (including both Polsc 110 and Polsc 111), I only
have six units left to complete in order to graduate. The only hindrance to my graduation
next academic year at the first semester is the prerequisite of both Polsc 111 and Polsc
199. I am also running for Latin honors so I cannot underload in units. It would also
entail me financial costs if I choose to complete the 15 units for the next semester in the
next academic school year.

I also believe other colleges within UP Diliman such as College of Business

Administration and College of Engineering already issues such document.

Thank you so much for hearing my case. I am very much hoping for your kind
consideration.

Sincerely Yours,

Bea Czarina B. Navarro
