I was asked to do an impromptu walkthrough of the Lanesborough Police Department, due to concerns of structural integrity, building code
violations and the health and safety of the employees working in the station. I conducted this inspection on October 31, 2018 and was extremely
concern with what I found.

Below you will find a list of concerns, my recommendations and photos to help show case the concerns. As a risk manager with MIIA I am concerns
not only for the safety of the Officers working in this environment. I am also concerned with the liability this may have on the town and MIIA if this
renovation goes bad, along with the after effects of insuring a building that was not renovated to code or within federal or state regulations.

Recommendations:
Renovation cease-and-desist until proof of all licenses and permits are produced and the project, the plans and the building are inspected by a third-
party Building Inspector, DLS Inspector and Health Inspector. If renovations continue without being reviewed by these inspectors, I will also make
a recommendation to the MIIA Account Representative and Manager to review the project and liability and move this building to builder’s risk until
completed and building occupancy is restored. As the Risk Manager I do not feel it is safe for the employees to continue occupancy under these
conditions.

My list of concerns are as follows;

Lack of proof of licenses and permits for the work being done i.e. construction, electrical, plumbing and certified architectural and structural plans
