Foreword

 The IDEAL (Seamless MPLS) solution allows for large-scale

dynamic networking, lowering performance requirements on case-
shaped devices and reducing pressure on aggregation devices.

 Exterior Gateway Protocol (EGP): runs between different ASs,

such as BGP. ASGs advertise labeled IPv4 routes to MASGs in
their respective ASs through MP-BGP. Therefore, a BGP LSP can
be established between the ASGs and MASGs.

 This section describes the solution for deploying inter-AS BGP

LSPs between ASGs and MASGs using Labeled BGP.

• There are two layers of tunnels. The IGP domain provides external tunnels, for deploying TE, LDP LSP, or TE+LDP LSP tunnels. During the initial
deployment of an LTE network, it is recommended to deploy TE+LDP LSP tunnels.
• BGP LSP tunnels are used as inter-AS tunnels and are set up using the Labeled BGP. At the service level, the HVPN solution is used. Inter-AS BGP
LSPs need to be set up only between ASGs and MASGs.

Labeled BGP Checking Procedure
1. Run the display bgp peer [ verbose ] command to check information
about all BGP peers.

2. Run the display bgp routing-table label command on an ASG, ASBR or

MASG to check label information of IPv4 routes.

3. Run the display ip routing-table command on the ASG and MASG to

check the route to each other.

4. Run the display mpls lsp protocol bgp command to query the status of a
BGP LSP.

5. Run the ping/tracert lsp bgp destination-address mask-length [ ip-

address ] command on a ASG or MASG to check BGP LSP connectivity.
