Cuando hablamos del confucianismocomo una base
ideológicaentrelas poblacionesdel estede Asia,no podemos

complejo. Los autores que con más propiedad se han acercado
al análisisde los factores culturales en el desarrolloeconómico
asiáticohan tenidoque partirde que lo que comúnmentese
englobabajo el nombrede confucianismo incluyeelementos
de otrasescuelasfilosóficas o religiones, como el daoismo,el
legalismo y el budismomahayana4 y,másrecientemente, elcris-
tianismoprotestanteque ha tenido una difusión constante
