Ch 1. CPRI PORT MISMATCH
Alarm

Alarm Definition & mismatch case

• Alarm occurs in case of S/N mismatch between PLD DB in DU (RRH-CONF) and

Inventory Info in RU (RRH-INVT) when field engineers reconnect CPRI port or replace
RU without S/N initialization in RRH-CONF.
• Many wrong CPRI SWAPs are happening during field activities for Alarm
Troubleshooting, Growth, Infilled, CPRI Swap and RRH swap in the field, because of
not follow the procedure.
• This Alarm is Service Affecting Alarm.

Procedure to clear Alarm

RRH serial no re-initialization in RRH-CONF

Need to Re-Initialize RRH serial no in RRH-CONF by making RRH serial no equal to 0.

1) Select command CHG-RRH-CONF
2) Select CONNECT_BOARD =
3) Select CONNECT_PORT_ID =
4) Select CASCADE_RRH_ID =
5) Select SERIAL_NUMBER=0
6) Click Execute.

Ch 2. OPTIC BITRATE
MISMATCH Alarm
Alarm is applicable only for:
• Board Type: “LCC” (RDU Channel Card)
• RU HW Type: “RTD01A-40A” (2300 Band 80W RRH)

This Alarm is Non Service affecting Alarm.

Optic Bitrate Mismatch Alarm is occurred when the following information are not same.
1. The configured CPRI speed rate of the DU CPRI port
2. The bitrate of optic module equipped DU CPRI port
3. The bitrate of optic module equipped RU CPRI port which is connected to DU (includes
only the 1st RU which is directly connected to DU in case of RU cascade configuration).

“Optic Bitrate Mismatch” Alarm (NSA) reported when Optic Bitrate mismatch occurs due to
wrong SFP speed.
Below example having different in CPRI speed rate
• PLD Speed Rate = 5Gbps
• DU Optic Module Speed Rate = 5Gbps
• RU Optic Module Speed Rate = 10Gbps
• To recover alarm change SFP Optic Module with correct Speed Rate

Solution

To clear this Alarm Keep same following parameters:

1) CPRI Speed configuration in PLD.

2) Bitrate speed of SFP connected at DU end.
3) Bitrate speed of SFP connected at RU end.
Process to change SFP
1) Check SFP Configuration by command RTRV-DUCPRI-STS
This command will give information about SFP module connected at DU end, for
information about SFP module connected at RU end filed engineer need to check physically
at site.

2) Lock Cells of respective Port whose SFP need to be change.

3) Change CPRI configuration at DU end by command CHG-DUCPRI-SPEED;

1. Select SAP ID in target

2. Command: CHG-DUCPRI-SPEED

3. Enter Unit Type, Board type, Group ID,

CPRI_SPEED_SAVE,
CPRI_COMPRESSION.

4. Click Execute

Please follow below table for

configuration.
4) Change SFP module at DU end and RRH end.

5) Check again SFP module information by command RTRV-DUCPRI-STS

A) For RDU

B) For CDU
5) Unlock Cells

6) Unlock Subcells

7) Check Cell throughput and UEs are latching to respective cells whose SFP module has
been changed by command RTRV-CELL-TP and RTRV-CELL-UECNT.
