2. Identify and use subjects and verbs correctly in speaking and writing simple sentences.

1. Verbs:
A verb can tell what action someone or something is doing (a process or action).
A verb can also express a state of being for example am, is, are, was, were.
A singular subject takes a singular verb (the third person verb form will end in ‘s’)
A plural subject takes a plural verb.
Subjects separated by the word ‘or’ take a singular verb.
A combination of singular and plural subjects separated by ‘either’ or ’neither’ is
