2. Subject – Verb Agreement:

 A singular subject takes a singular verb (the third person verb form will end in ‘s’)
 A plural subject takes a plural verb.
 Subjects separated by the word ‘or’ take a singular verb.
 A combination of singular and plural subjects separated by ‘either’ or ’neither’ is
determined

by the subject closer to the verb.
