History
The Charter of the Baliwag Polytechnic College was established by Sangguniang Bayan
Ordinance No. 06, Series 2008 of the Municipality of Baliwag, Bulacan. The said ordinance
which was authored by Atty. Enrique “Buco” dela Cruz and passed on May 9, 2008 was the idea
of Mayor Romeo M. Estrella who has always thought of providing opportunity to deserving
children of poor citizens of Baliwag to acquire free post secondary and tertiary education.
For its start the Baliwag Polytechnic College offered Two-Year Certificate Courses in Hotel and
Restaurant Services and Computer Technology. The HRS course has specialization in Food and
Beverages, Baking and Pastry, Housekeeping, and Commercial Cooking. Computer Technology
focuses on Consumer Electronics and NC IV Programming is the specialization in Information
Technology.

The first sets of students were scheduled to attend classes at the second and fourth floors of the
St. Augustine College Building and the first floor of the Old Municipal. Building, Cagayan
Valley Road, Poblacion, Baliwag, Bulacan. There are 209 who enrolled in HRS, 178 in
Information Technology and 42 in Computer Technology or a total of 429. The classes will be
transferred to the Second Floor and third floors of the former BMG Building near the Baliwag
Public Market at Barangay Poblacion, Baliwag, Bulacan.

VISION
An educational institution that actively assists in the development of needed youth manpower in
a rapidly changing world from among the underprivileged members of the Baliwag Community.
MISSION
To provide relevant and updated quality educational development to the underprivileged youths
of Baliwag and the neighboring towns.
OBJECTIVES

1. To provide degree courses un Education, Accountancy, Business, Information


Techonology, Hotel and Restaurant Management and other currently in-demand courses;
2. To provide special and/or market-driven education and training in vocational, technical
and technological fields.
3. To offer short-term specialized skills or proficiency-based science and technology,
related technical courses needed by business and industry in the province.
4. To integrate the Christian values in all activities of administrators, faculty, students and
staff.
5. To infuse the culture of research, community services, peace and information technology
in the curricula of all academic departments.
6. To enhance among its constituents the values academic excellence, patriotism, integrity,
innovativeness and stewardship.
