I. OBJECTIVES
At the end of the lesson, 100% of the student should be able to attain atleast
75% level of proficiency in:

1. Analyze the dance terms and movement that involve executing the Swing.
2. Identify and execute the proper basic steps of swing .
3. Perform the swing skillfully with feelings.

The students should identify or perform the following motivation:


B. Lesson Proper
Activity 1. Familiarization
Separate the girls and boys and then execute the basic step in swing.
1. Basic - Make 4 basic the girl always the right foot forward and the boy
always his left foot forward
2. Half turn – Make 4 movements and they will do 2 times half turn
3. Half turn- Make 4 basic and then execute full turn

Activity 2.
Introduction to figures in swing the student should get their partner and group
them into 3.

A. Figure 1. (Alternate)- Make 4 basic movement and the both of their hands also need
to point and the girl will make turn movement under the right hand of the boy and after
the girl the boy will also do the turn movement under the right hand of the girl with the
point of their hands.
B. Figure 2. ( Side to Shoulder)- After the 4 basic movement the girl will move with her
left hand toward the shoulder of the boy and then the girl will turn from her position
only girl will do the turn movement 4x.
C. Figure 3. ( turn to Side)- After the basic 4 the girl turn under the left hand of the boy
and go thru the right side and left side of the boy 4x.
D. Figure 4. ( Combination)- After the 4 basic movement and then the girl let in, in the
right side of the boy with the turn movement and the left hand of the boy will release
the girl in the clockwise turn and it will make a cross hand after that the boy will turn
from his position and then repeat.
E. Figure 5. ( Back to Back)- After the 4 basic movement the girls will move right
sideward back while boy move left sideward back. Then after 3 back to back girl will
full turn to back into original position.

2. Analysis: Based on the activity the students will execute the following figures or
steps that been teach.
3. Abstraction: Each group they will perform the following figures to see who more
skillful and learn the figures.

Practice the Figure/Steps of Swing because next week will be or practical exam.
