III. Description

Mosaics have been around for a very long time. The oldest mosaics was found
date to the 3rd millenium BCE, in a temple in Mesopotamia. These ancient mosaics
were made of stones, shells, and ivory, most of which were locally available products.

But since our world is evolving, people has this non-stop and limitless way of
thinking new trends to create new things and so with many artist who are creating new
artworks with its different unique or authentic mediums they can use for their art and
many artworks were recognized and has been introduced these days.
Like the Mosaic Powder Blush that is used for make-up, it is a fantastically
versatile product, each mosaic comes in five complementing hues that can be used as a
blush or bronzer or to contour and highlight. Colors can be applied individually or
blended together to create one unique shade.

Instead of using Mosaic Powder Blush, stones, egg shells and other materials,
this artwork used coffee powder as its medium. Coffee powder is a beverage derived
from brewed coffee and also called soluble coffee, coffee crystals, and coffee powder.
And yes, this medium is a very refined, pulverized or crushed powder but by the help of
Zoy Powder, it can assure on maintaining its sustainability. Zoy powder or Zoy instant
starch is a laundry starch and can also be used as paste by simply adding a plain water
with its exact portion. Its very time-saving and does not contain ingredients harmful to
hands.

Its texture is smooth and may vary on the thickness of the powder that is being
pasted. Although it has only 2 colors which are the brown and white, but still these

V. Art Form

Materials:

Coffe Powder

Zoy Powder

Card Board

Process:

- Prepare all the materials.

- Add a small amount of water on zoy powder then simply stir it simply then you can use
it as a paste.
- Cut the coffee powder sachet into just a small opening because when you cut it with a
big opening, the coffee powder might spread widely on your card board.

-Draw an object or anything you want to draw as your subject then after that, simply put
a zoy powder and deeply paste it with each surface. And one thing is, coffee powder is
hard to control when it comes to spreading and mixing of colors. Make sure that you can
control on which you want to put or paste each colors with each surface.
