Wouva
Wooden Succulent Vase MOOD BOARD
Wouva is a succulent vase for home decoration to
bring a little nature into the home. This vase is
made from pine wood and meranti wood which
can deliver two different natural colors.

Ideation
My idea is to make a simple vase that can be arranged manually
by the user and made from natural materials. Then I’ve made three vases
so it can be a product series with various styles. I choose pine wood
and meranti wood because both of the woods have a different
color pattern so it can give the impression of natural and harmony.

3D Printing Portable Speaker

Presley is a 3D Portable Speaker with charging battery technology.

This product made from 3D printing process then combined with
pine wood and jeans fabric as its cover.

Final Result

Ideation

My concept was to make a speaker that is

easy to carry everywhere. Then I look for
the appropriate shape for a speaker that
looked minimalist and also has an
outdoor spirit.

I combined 3d print filaments with pine

wood and jeans fabric to reinforce the
outdoor impression of the product. Then
I add a string to this speaker to make the
speaker easy to carry, tied or hanged.

Lathi Geni
Survival Knife
Lathi Geni was made from stainless steel and combined with
sonokeling wood which has natural dark colour and easy to
shaped. This knife can be used for slicing, cutting and piercing.

Ideation
My initial concept is to make a survival knife that is easy to use, easy to
carry and has a comfortable grip. So I made some alternative handles
with cork and put the most comfortable shape based on the survey I
have done to the potential users.

This knife can be folded. It has a curve-shaped handle to strengthen

grip and blade’s shape that can be used for various functions.

Prototyping Process

Final Result

The knife is made by cutting and grinding the stainless steel into the most proportional shape
and also by cutting and shaping the wood to make the handle part of the knife.

Malolo Chair
Lounge Chair
Screw for locking the arm rest
“Malolo” is a Samoan language which means “lounge” in
English. So I’ve named this chair with “Malolo”, this
chair is a lounge chair which was manually made from
wood and fiber combined with resin. To make this chair
we use woodworking techniques that are called as
"bubut" and also we use resin and fiber to make the
part of backrest and seat holder.

Problems
Every household almost certainly has outdoor equipment such as
shoes, coats, helmets or umbrellas but oftenly they are placed in the
wrong place thus most of the people oftenly had a problem to
find their equipment when they are about to use it.

Storio is a multifunction storage for

minimalist residential to keep
outdoor equipment such as shoes,
umbrella, helmet, and raincoat in one
place. This product was made with
minimalist concept and space effectivity.
It has a small seat to help a user to wear
shoes, a simple mechanism to store the
raincoats and it is also equipped with a desk
and a mini mirror for personal purposes.

River Cleaning Boat Surabaya has many rivers. For now, the cleanliness of Surabaya's river also has many bridges and dams that hamper

This boat is a river cleaner for Surabaya city. The design of this ship uses a
modular and compact concept. This ship uses catamaran hull and also a
hydraulic-driven dustpan system and supported by engine power.

Through this research, Surabaya is expected to be able to produce a

river cleaning boat with effective and efficient and able to minimize the
cost incurred.

problems, there are congestion and pollution. Therefore
an electric bicycle can be the most suitable alternative.

This bike is a type of MTB that uses electrical energy and

equipped with several features to better suit many roads
condition and situation.
