Lightning rips through

Sixteen-year-old David Burren

lightning struck his tent.
David Burren lives with his family on a

was a stormy night and it was difficult to
sleep. They laughed and joked, but then
suddenly lightning ripped through the
nylon wall of the tent. It struck a metal
pole in the tent.
"It was about 3 a.m.," said David.
'There was a big bang and a flash of
light. Somebody shouted, 'Run, everyone,
run'." The boys ran across the field to the
house. But then they realised that their
friend, Stefan Brown, 15, was still in the
tent
