Brewing Process, Step-by-step
• Design your recipe
– Style (BJCP guidelines…or not)
– Fermentables (gravity, color, body, head)
– Hopping schedule (IBU, flavor, aroma)

– Other (finings, flavorings, herbs, spices, fruits, etc)

Cleaning and Sanitation
• Acid, alkali, oxygen, and iodine
Mash
• Grain and water at ~154°F for 60 minutes

• Sparge – rinse the sugar water out of the grain
