If you are a youth who loves and serves Jehovah, we commend you! You are establishing a life pattern like that of King David [Read Psalm 71:5] (w99 9/1 18 {17) It is only natural to want to fit in with your peers ‘This desire can be particularly strong when you are a teenager Jehovah created us to appreciate the joy of music, physical activity, celebrating, socializing, and just belonging Satan’s world distorts these joys by associating them with conduct that God disapproves It is not easy to stand out as different from the world You need courage to reject bad associations, including those on social networks You need courage to pursue the full-time ministry even though others may encourage you to pursue secular goals In the following video, note how a young Witness responded when faced with a choice that called for courage VIDEO (2 min.) HOW YOUTHS CAN CULTIVATE AND DISPLAY COURAGE (4 min.) Strengthen your faith and develop “thinking ability” [Read Proverbs 2:11] Read the Bible daily, and strive to understand how Jehovah's laws and principles benefit you Be ready to defend your beliefs If there are Bible teachings that you do not fully understand, do personal study to find answers to your questions (Pr 2:3-6; w16.09 25 117-8) You can ask your parents or a mature Christian to assist you Firmly reject temptation “Thinking ability” will enable you to foresee the bad outcome of wrong conduct (Ps 119:104; Pr 1:10) Moses rejected the materialistic lifestyle of Egypt (Heb 11:24-27; W17.09 30 911; wO5 9/15 16 4) He was blessed during his lifetime, and more blessings await him in the near future Your courageous course will give you deep satisfaction and bring joy to Jehovah Brother ______ will present the next talk of this symposium, “Be a Courageous . . .
