Hardware and Virtualization Support

At PTC we recognize the need to support multiple operating, hardware and virtual environments but also cannot
fully certify every variant, build, patch release or hardware environment that is available on the market.

For all Windows and Linux operating systems listed as supported, Integrity Lifecycle Manager (Integrity LM) supports
those operating systems running on x86-compatible Intel or AMD hardware, including Intel EMT-64 and AMD64
architectures. For all UNIX operating systems listed as supported, Integrity LM supports the 64-bit version of those
operating systems running on SPARC (Solaris) 64-bit hardware. Integrity LM does not support the Integrity LM Server,
Client or Agent on any OS platform running on Itanium based hardware.

Virtual environments are not officially tested and supported platforms for running Integrity LM, though we recognize
that they are very strategic platforms for many of our customers. Most of these environments claim that each virtual
instance is transparent to applications and it is the operating system within that virtual instance that governs an
application’s operating environment. For this reason, if the vendor is claiming that their virtualized environment fits
this class, PTC will support running PTC Integrity on supported operating systems within these environments. PTC may
require our customers to validate some of their specific requests directly in their environments, if the issues cannot
be replicated in similar environments without the virtualization technology.

Available Distributions
• Only 64-bit versions of the listed platforms are supported environments for the Integrity LM Server

• The Integrity LM Client is supported on 32-bit versions of the listed Windows and Linux operating systems. The
Integrity LM Client for Unix is a 64-bit version.

• The Integrity LM Agent for Integrity LM 11.0 releases is available as a 32-bit or 64-bit distribution.

• Unless otherwise noted, the latest service packs are recommended for each supported platform or
database.

1. Database functionality is assumed to be consistent across all platforms that the database vendor supports (including
both 32 and 64-bit). PTC tests with a subset of supported database platforms.
2. Proxy-only servers also support the Derby embedded database. The server install program automatically installs the
correct version if you choose the embedded database option during the install process.

1. The 32-bit Integrity LM Client is supported running in 32-bit compatibility mode on 64-bit operating systems.
2. Microsoft has recently updated the IE support policy and only supports the latest version of IE available for each version
of Microsoft Windows.
3. Installation of the Integrity LM Client on a 64-bit Linux system requires installation of the 32-bit X11 libraries. These libraries
can include but are not limited to: libX11, libXext, libXau, libxcb, libXtst, and libXi. Consult your OS’s documentation for
further instructions on how to install the 32-bit X11 libraries.
4. Firefox 52.0.1ESR is supported only on Solaris platform.

5. Windows 10 is certified using CBB v1607 and LTSB v1607 version builds. Versions above CBB 1607 and LTSB 1607 are
supported but are not certified.
