Welcome to
Emergency For Every Doctor 2019
Assalamu'alaikum Wr. Wb.
In the name of Allah SWT, the Almighty and Mercyful God, gracious thanks and praise for
His favor and kindness, so we can hold the 11'th Emergency for Every Doctor Symposium in
2019.
Nowadays, we can see or hear that a lot of natural disasters occur in the world, espe-
cially in Indonesia. BNPB (Badan Nasional Penanggulangan Bencana) stated that during
2017, there are 654 disasters in Indonesia. And it cause 61 people died or lost, 174 people
injured, 584.173 people suffered and evacuated.
Disaster is actually not a new topic. Indonesia have encountered a massive disaster in
2004, the Aceh’s Tsunami. The number of victims, the number of losses and the limited
resources are the main obstacles in managing the aid. Every disaster is a new case. No disas
ters can be solved in the similar way. Therefore, Prof Karjadi and Prof Koeshartono thought
about how to solve the problem and came out with the idea of disaster management, Basic
Life Support Training in the area prone to disasters, and Sistem Penanganan Gawat Darurat
Terpadu (SPGDT).
Also, Good patient care has been a demand for all health providers. Emergency Care is
one of a measurement of good patient care. Emergency conditions happen anywhere and
anytime. The improper emergency care can result in deterioration and even death that might
not supposed to.
Anesthesiology and Reanimation Department of Medical Faculty of Universitas Airlang
ga as E4ED organizer and trusted emergency care institution, responds to this global chal
lenges. This annual anesthesiology symposium event contains new informations related to
research, clinical relevance, and therapeutic management in emergency care aimed for med
ical personnel.
Through this event we expects all medical personnel participations, so excellent Emer
gency Care in every situation can be done anywhere, anytime. We believes E4ED 2019 event
will improves medical services and health care in Indonesia.
Yours sincerely

SAVE LIVES,
Prihatma Kriswidyatomo, dr., Sp.An.
Chairman
