Migration from net.com to IT.

com

Source domain is Net.com Target domain is IT.com

Install ADMT on Source domain

1. Establish 2 way Transitive Trust relationship Between Source domain and

Destination Domain

2. Make Administrator of Source domain as member of target domain Administrators

group

2.creating Password Export Server

a.admt.exe key net f:\migrate Admin@123

b. set AllowPasswordExport=1 in HKLM\system\currentcontrolset\control\LSA

c. Add everyone systemgroup into "Pre windows 2000 compatible Access"

Net localgroup "pre-Windows 2000 Compatible Access" Everyone /add

d. If ADMT is running on server 2003 add Anonymous Logon to Pre Windows 2000
Comapatible Access group on the Target domain
net localgroup "pre windows 2000 comaptible access" anonymouslogon /add

e. add everyone to pre windows 2000 comatible access group on target domain

3. Enable auditing both on source and target DOmain

4. create localgroup doamin$$$ to migrate SID's on source domain

5. TCPIPclientsupport registrykey is set to 1 on source doamin

Edit the following registry entry in the source domain
Hkey_local_machine\system\currentcontrolset\control\LSA
create a dword as
Dword=tcpip client support value=1
Restart the PDC

6. Reboot the Source doamin controller

7. Install ADMT on the source doamin

8. Migrate the group accounts

9. migrate the user accounts with passwords

10. Migrate the computer accounts

11. Migrate the Mailboxes using Exchange Migration Wizard

12. Check for the New Mailboxes in the Target Domain
