*****I, Sergeant Michael Bain #338 added ASCL results for the driver of V2 on 2.22.19 at 2259hrs.*****
The driver of V1 was traveling on Interstate 40 East near the 142 mile marker in lane #3 in a southerly direction.
The driver of V2 was traveling on Interstate 40 East near the 142 mile marker in lane #3 in a northerly direction,
traveling the wrong way on the Interstate. The driver of V1 did not notice V2 in his lane of traffic until it was too
late. V1 veered to the right to avoid V2. The front of V1 struck the left front of V2. V1 passed through the cab of
V2. After impact, V1 rotated slightly counter clock wise and overturned. V1 crossed lanes two and one coming to
a final rest on its right side on the West side shoulder partly blocking lane #1. V2 veered to the right onto the
East side shoulder rotating clock wise coming to a final stop ejecting the driver. The driver of V2's body came to
a final rest on the East side shoulder near the barrier wall.
Note: The driver of V1 was talked to before going into surgery. He gave a verbal statement.
