The Rev. David Almleaf, Pastor ~ March 2019
en
Dear Members and Friends,
Easter comes late this year which means that March begins more like a normal
February in Church.
On March 3 we observe the Transfiguration of our Lord and then on Tuesday
March 5* it’s Shrove Tuesday with our youth providing their traditional pancake supper
at 6:00 p.m. The other “normal” activities for the day will include Bible Study at
10:00 a.m. in the library and the Communion Luncheon at noon in the fellowship hall.
Ash Wednesday is on the 6". There will be a spoken communion service with
ashes available at noon. The sung service and ashes will be at 7:00 p.m.
March 10" - 31" will include the first four Sundays in Lent. For those who wish
to give up something but haven't decided what yet, I would suggest giving up some time
to attend something in church that isn’t normally part of your schedule.
Time is a precious commodity that if spent on God is never a waste of time.
