Snowflake Scarf

8" wide and 70" long, after blocking.

Yarn:
Cascade Ecological Wool (100% wool; 478 yd [440 m]/250 g):
#8095 black (MC), #8063 gray/brown (CC1), and #8049 dark
gray (CC2), 1 skein each.

NeedleS:
Size 9 (5.5 mm): set of double-pointed (dpn) or 40" circular
(cir) for magic-loop method. Adjust needle size if necessary to
obtain the correct gauge.

Notions:
Markers (m); tapestry needle.

Gauge:
14 sts and 20 rows = 4" in colorwork patt.

With CC1, CO 60 sts. Place marker (pm)
and join in the rnd. Set-up rnd: K29, pm,
p1, pm, k29, pm, p1. *With CC1, work 2
rnds in established patt. With CC1 and
MC, work Rnds 1–15 of Snowflake chart,
maintaining purl “side-seam” sts. With
CC1 only (do not cut MC), work 2 rnds in
patt—19-rnd CC1 stripe. Cut CC1. With
MC, work 13 rnds in patt. With CC2 (do
