There is a need to address duplication in curriculum of Pharm-D, M.Phil. and Ph.D.
curriculum. Curriculum review committees should be constituted for continuous
improvement of curriculum. There should be significant portion of both technical and
managerial subjects in the curriculum. There must be significant representation of
internal members, external academician from well renowned universities and
practioners in the Board of Studies. Accreditation councils like Pharmacy Council of
Pakistan provide only guidelines and outline for the curriculum, College has to

be balanced composition of Board of Studies. There are different methods to handle
the duplication in curriculum at different levels. Different industrial experts are invited
for lectures and students physically visit their units to see the process. Every course is
well defined and feedback is taken from the students about the completion of course
contents. Seminars are regularly conducted at UCP. There is a need to create a post
for technician at departmental level for the maintenance of laboratory equipments.

directions. He further added that MOUs are signed with different hospitals and
certificate courses will be started without violating the Pharmacy Council rules.
