2. Research methodology

Definition :

Research methodology simply means how we conduct the research. It is a framework or blue print of
conducting the project. Research methodology includes the method of collecting the data, source of
data, techniques of collecting the data, measurement as well as scaling techniques, questionnaire
design, sampling process and sampling size, and plan of data analysis.

Topic :

This project titled – JP MORGAN CO. Is an attempt to bring out the overview features and products
offered by the JP Morgan co. It also tries to give the brief history, mission and objectives of the
company.

2. Data collection :

I. Data collected –

Data includes facts and figures, which are required to be collected to achieve the objectives of
the project. This data collected in order to determine the present position of JP Morgan Co.

a) Primary data –

The data that is being collected for the first time to fulfil the objectives of the project is
known as primary data.

b) Secondary data-

Secondary data are that type of data, which are already assembled and need not to
collected from outside.

3. Sampling design :

Sampling refers to the method of selecting a sample from a given universe with a view
to draw conclusion about the universe. A sample is a representation of the universe selected for the
study

Convenience sampling is used in exploratory research where the researcher is

interested getting an inexpensive approximation of the truth. As the name implies, th3 sample is
selected because they are convenient. This non probability method is often used during preliminary
research efforts to get a gross estimate of the result, without incurring the cost of time required to
select a random sample.
