When one thinks of the best way to achieve physical fitness, Zumba is always on the top
of the list. This fantastic workout grows in popularity more and more every single day.

Zumba is an exercise fitness program which involves dance and aerobic movements
performed to energetic music. Aerobic exercise reduces health risks, keeps excess
pounds at bay, strengthens one’s heart and boosts one’s mood. This extremely fun
workout incorporates lot of routines that improve the cardiovascular system, and
beyond.

Taking Physical Education and Health subject Grade Eleven students presented Zumba
dance in line with the objectives of the subject.

II. OBJECTIVES
The objectives of this activity include but not limited to the following: (a) to showcase
skills, creativity and talents of the students in dancing Zumba and (b) appreciate the
importance of aerobic, bone and muscle strengthening activities.

III. Flow of Activity

Last Monday July 16, 2018 all Grade 11 students conducted Zumba Dance. This started
last week during their lesson, Aerobic, Muscle Strengthening and Bone Strengthening
Activities. Such Zumba Dance was their performance task which helped strengthen their
mind and body.

Learners performed the Zumba based from the Criteria below:

Criteria for Judging
Choreography 30%
Choice of Music and Costumes 20%
Mastery and Execution 30%
Cooperation and Behavior 20%
100%
At the end of the activity and presentation learners enjoyed their performance apparently based from how
they performed. Through their presentation, learners appreciated the importance of aerobic exercises.

The presentation or the performance may have ended the day the activity reached its finish lane; however,
the delight inside the heart of everyone who participated would linger internally and perhaps would
remain in no time. Thanks for the time and the memories as well which, instilled the unfathomable
meaning of “joy.”
