They say that no two snowflakes are the same. That may be true, but snowflakes
share some striking similarities--they are all (1)…. In a similar kind of way. They all have six-
fold radial symmetry.

A snowflakes is born when water vapour travels through the air and condenses in a
particle. There it forms a slowly growing crystal. There are two basic ways that the vapour can
condense. Each way plays a big role in the shape that the snowflake will eventually (2)....

The first way is to form what are called 'facets', a flat face in a 3D shape, like a prism.
They form (3)…. when a crystal grows. In ice crystal, the shape they take mirrors the shape of
the molecules forming the crystal. The crystal structure of frozen ice is six-sided shape.
Therefore an icy facet is six-sided as well. That is where the symmetry in snowflake comes
from.

The second way to grow a snowflake is to form (4).... not surprisingly, this is what
creates those beautiful tree-like structure. Branches form because water vapour will
condense on the first thing it touches. If there is a small bump on a flakes surface, the vapour
will condense there instead of travelling any further. Now the bump is bigger and even more
likely to 'catch' water vapour at that point. The process repeats itself and a branch (5)….

Dear Editors,

Watching TV is one of my favorite activities at home. I think that there are many interesting
things that can be found on TV. I prefer watching news and humorous shows. Live sports on
TV are always attractive as well. My family loves football very much. A live football match on
TV is most special in my family. We will all sit around in front of the TV. Just like last week,
when we watched the final Libertadores match between Flamingo and sao paolo. It was a
spectacular match.

However, I feel that the major problem with TV is the enormous number of awful silly
shows, advertisements, and cheap soap operas. So, as a smart audience, you had better
choose the 'right ' Programs and ignore unnecessary programs.
