 To be retained by the applicant – Membership Qualification
Student Member : Shall be a person enrolled by the council and is between 18 to 21 years of
age and is registered as student of physical science, engineering or an allied field in a
recognised educational institute. After the age of 21 years he will be eligible to become either
an Associate Member or Member or Life member as per his choice and on fulfilment of
requirements of the particular membership of the society. Student member shall not have
right to vote and shall not be eligible to hold an elective post of the society.

Associate Member : Any Indian person, enrolled by the council on application, from any
engineering or non engineering field who wish to be associated with ISNT. He may or may
not have NDT qualification or he may or may not be directly involved in NDT . Such person
should be at least 21 years of age. There will be no upper age limit for this membership. This
membership is strictly an annual membership. Associate member shall be entitle to voting
and other rights and privileges of the society except to the right to hold the elective post

Member : Shall be a person enrolled by the council on application and is a scientists,

engineer, a teacher, an executive, or writer in technical or executive field, professional
involved or connected with non destructive Testing. He should be at least 21 years of age and
there is no upper age limit for this membership. This membership is an annual membership
and shall be entitle to voting and other rights and privileges of the society including the right
to hold the elective post.

Life Member : Shall be a person enrolled by the council on application and is a scientists,
engineer, a teacher, an executive, or writer in technical or executive field, professional
involved or connected with non destructive Testing. He should be at least 21 years of age and
is active in the field of NDT. To become the Life member, the person should be in the field of
NDT for minimum period of two years . This membership is Life time membership and shall
be entitle to voting and other rights and privileges of the society including the right to hold
the elective post

Corporate Member : Corporate member shall be an industrial undertaking, government

department, an institution or recognised statutory body interested to promote objectives of
the society and shall be enrolled by the council on application. This membership is an annual
membership. The enrolled organisation shall have right to nominate two employees as
representative to enjoy rights and privileges of the society except the right to hold the elective
post.

Life Corporate Member : Corporate member shall be an industrial undertaking, government

department, an institution or recognised statutory body interested to promote objectives of
the society and shall be enrolled by the council on application. This membership shall remain
valid for a period of 25 years. The enrolled organisation shall have right to nominate two
employees as representative to enjoy rights and privileges of the society except the right to
hold the elective post.
