ITEM QUESTIONS ANSWERS

C & S MATTERS

1. Tenderer shall deem to have inspected and examined the

site and its surroundings and shall be deemed to have
allowed for any cost required in the Preliminaries items.

2. Tenderer to submit the source /name of ready mix

Concrete supplier. Trial mixes shall be conducted and
approved by Engineer. Specified concrete Grade shall be
in-situ concrete strength on 28 days. Minimum 3 sources
of supplier to be provided.

3. Tenderer to note that all concrete cubes to be cured at site

and cube test shall be conducted at approved independent
accredited laboratory. Tenderer is deemed to have priced
for all testing. (7 days & 24 days)

4. Tenderer to submit source or name of supplier for the Civil

and Structural Material to be used together with all
relevant testing certificates. Random tests at independent
accredited laboratory required as requested by Engineer.
Tenderer is deemed to have priced for all testing.

5. Tenderer to submit shop drawings, design calculation duly

endorsed by Professional Engineer for all temporary
formwork, scaffolding & services platform to JKKP and
consultants’ approval.

6. All materials shall be attached with Quality Control

certificates (SIRIM & CIDB) and submit for approval
prior to commencement of works.

7. Tenderer to submit all necessary method statements,

inclusive of erection and installation to temporary shoring
& strutting supporting systems with detailed calculations
endorsed by Professional Engineer as stipulated in
specifications. i.e material platform, mechanical and
electrical platform, scaffolding system water retaining
structures and deep basement excavation works etc.

8. Tenderer to propose construction joints according to their

casting sequence to Engineer for approval. Tenderer to
note that all construction joints for water retaining
structure concrete to be installed with water stop. Water
tightness test to conduct and ensure no leakage prior to
application of waterproofing membrane.

9. Tenderer to fulfill the following verticality tolerance

control requirement :

i) Inclination of column or wall at any level

(floor to floor) – not more than 10mm
ii) Inclination of column or wall at any level to
ground floor – not more than 40mm

10. Tenderer to fulfill following formwork removal

requirement :
i) Slabs (props left under) – 5 days after casting
ii) Beam Soffit (props left under) – 7 days after

iii) Removal of Props to slab-10 days after
casting
iv) Removal of Props to beam-16 days after
casting

11. Tenderer to provide all Erosion and Sedimentation Control

Plans (ESCP) to Local Authority’s requirement. The cost is
deemed to be included in the Tender Price.

12. Tenderer to confirm that they are clear to all Local

Authority requirements by MBIP, SAJ, SPAN, IWK, DOE,
JKR, JPS, JKKP etc. All works on site to carry out as per
Local Authority requirement and specification.

13. Tenderer to confirm they have catered for provision M&E

services opening through beam and slab where necessary
and sealed off all gaps with non-shrink high strength grout
upon completion of M&E works. Tenderer to submit detail
shop drawings on M&E penetration to Engineer for
approval.

14. Tenderer to submit shop drawing on any steel structure &

BRC mesh to Engineer for approval prior to fabricate and
installation.

15. The external water and sewerage reticulation work must be

undertaken by respective trade contractor licensed with the
relevant Authority SAJ, IWK & SPAN.
