March 7, 2019 Mare-Olivier Girard Clerk of the Standing Committee on Justice and Human Rights House of Commons Sixth Floor, 131 Queen St Ottawa, ON K1A 086 Dear Clerk, Pursuant to Standing Order 106(4), we request that the Standing Committee on Justice and Human Rights be reconvened within five days to examine developments in the accusations against the Prime Minister and his closest political allies conspired to stop the criminal trial of a ‘company accused of bribery. Former Attorney General Jody Wilson-Raybould provided clear and convincing testimony based on contemporaneous notes that there was sustained, inappropriate and unethical political pressure. Mr. Gerald Butts and Mr. Michael Wernick provided testimony that, while lacking the credibility of Ms. Wilson-Raybould, was in parts contradictory. Canadians deserve to hear the full truth so that they can decide the level of corruption in this government, Should the Committee agree to study these troubling developments, we would be prepared to move the following motion: That, following the public statement of March 6 by Ms. Jody Wilson-Raybould offering to provide more information to Canadians should it be requested, the committee request that she appear nolater than Thursday March 14. ‘Thank you for your urgent attention to this matter.
