Activities: Pre – lesson : Pupils listen to teacher say Find something red, and go to touch
something red in the classroom. The colour words are written on the board.
Lesson Delivery :
1. Pupils sit in small groups. Each group given some letters (cards or plastic ones). Call
out a letter; pupils have to try to grab the correct letter. They keep it if they grab it
first.
2. Next, pupils told a colour word. They work together to try to spell it using the letters
they have. They can use the words on the board to help.
3. This activity is repeated with the words on the board erased.
Post lesson : Pupils colour hat and write the colour in the gap.

Teacher’s reflection / pupils were able to read and spell 6 colours and write about their favourite
colour hat.
